    Great beefy rod tip

Posted by Jon z. on 13th May 2022

This is my go to tip for exactly what it's name implies. Wonderful action for what it is and honestly chasing any 5lb+ fish this is going to be what I grab.

I use Emmrods almost exclusively, they are sensitive, durable and versatile. I believe they are the best value in fishing.

Top Water 20" 4 coil, best for jerk baits

Posted by Matthew Lau on 28th Aug 2018

This is a fantastic length and stiffest for 4"+ Jerk Baits. I use it with a spinning reel, and the 20" length provides a better cast, easily able to spring flicking the jerk bait out with your wrist. Yet it isn't overly light in action so you can take on big fish. I pulled in 2 large stripper, one 24lbs and the other 32lbs - a personal record for large fresh water fish. I don't know how good this is for bait casters, but it is my top favorite for spinning / jerk baits with a Pflueger Reel. I can tell it will work great for top water baits too. If you have been using Emmrods, this a fantastic addition, you will like it.

    32 Fish first day out!

Posted by Unknown on 14th Aug 2012

I used the Flex cast with my Shimano Corvalus reel. I caught 32 fish on a five hour trip! I caught fluke, black sea bass, sea robins and some other fish that I've never caught before! I used a four coil tip and it worked great. This is a solid product that is built well.

Very compact with same power as my big poles

Posted by Unknown on 14th Aug 2012

What I like about it is that It can fit practically anywhere. And it does the job that my 8 foot pole can do. Why have that big thing when I can have the same action on the rugged flex. Its just a must have if you're into pulling in big fish. Casting with it is a little different because it's smaller but it only takes a few casts to get used to. The cork handle is really comfortable. This rod is perfect for bait casting reels. I got my penn on it. :)

Posted by Jason Nelson on 31st Aug 2011

I just got the rugged flex casting rod. It took a little to get used to, but once i did the lure flew just as far as they say. I needed a travel rod and so glad i found Emmrod, it is everything i was looking for. thank you for making a great little rod
