Doesn't fit at all. Buy something else.

Posted by Gary Kimball on 29th Mar 2014

Sometimes you read other reviews that seemlingly say crazy stuff, like the Emmbag doesn't fit any of the Emmrods (after all, why would a company sell a bag like that?). This time it was true. I should have listened to other reviewers. The bag is good enough quality (by today's standards), but it's too short to fit poles put together and too long for poles broken down. On top of that, the top water rod won't fit at all (sticks out about 7 inches, even when not attached to a rod handle). I would stay away from this. Measure your items and go elsewhere online to buy a generic bag. Don't waste your money like I did.

Case works but could be better.

The carry case works and is convenient but I don't understand the size. It is too short for the assembled rod & handle to fit but is longer than required for is disassembled pieces. Emmrod says: We agree....we are currently looking to redesign our carry case to be more compact.

    Very disappointing

Not the high quality I expected. Not enough segrated sturdy pockets to hold fishing gear. Flimsy build for the price. Larger and bulker than expected.

Its Not So Bad Getting Stuck Holding The Bag ...

Given its price point the Emmrod Carry Case is sufficiently crafted to perform its function adequately. However after experiencing the exceptional quality of the Packer Cast Pole I would have been very willing to have purchased a hard case with foam cut outs designed to protect the pole from harm while storing it in the trunk, packing it for flight and transporting it by four wheeler.

    no more bulky back pack

Posted by jim kish on 3rd Dec 2011

for 6 mo's I carried my packer and my kayak king rod's-reels-hooks-lures-bait,etc;in my back pack.I put my packer in one section-my kayak king in another section-my hooks-lures-bait etc;in other sections! I would than strap it on my back, get on my bike and head for a pond or river. Very bulky and inconvenient!!Then I purchased 2 emmrod cases.I put my packer rods and reels, along with every thing I need for fishing with bait.Every thing I need in one place! In my other case,I put my Kayak King, my spinning reels,my cases of mepps spinners,(each one marked)pan fish-trout-crappi etc; What's great about this set up is I can open them ,lay them flat, side by side and now I can switch from bait casting to spin fishing with every thing I need @ hand instantly! More time for fishing!! Much easier to access areas with tight under brush and tree branches!!Oh! their also attention getters!I'm glad I made this purchase!
